OUR
SERVICES
Iuka Hospital, a state-of-the-art facility, serves
the residents of Tishomingo County and the
northeast area of Mississippi, including parts of
Tennessee and Alabama. T he hospital includes
40 private hospital rooms dedicated to general
acute care and an eight bed Intensive Care Unit.
The hospital is
accredited by the Joint Commission on
Accreditation for Healthcare Organizations.
The scope of our services includes general acute
care, intensive and coronary care, surgical
services, emergency services, pediatrics and
geriatrics. In addition, Iuka Hospital has a
full-service laboratory and provides clinical
pharmacy, pathology, radiology, rehabilitation,
and respiratory therapy services. All of our
registered nurses are certified in advanced
cardiac life support and pediatric advanced
cardiac life support. Our highly trained
staff is supported by the latest technology
available for diagnosis and treatment.
Iuka Hospital provides
24-hour emergency ambulance coverage, with a
paramedic on duty at all times. Emergency
air ambulance services are available from Iuka Hospital
to the Emergency Services Department at North
Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo or other
appropriate facilities.
In addition to caring for
the sick, Iuka Hospital's role as a health care
provider includes educating people to maintain
good health. Our professional staff provides
outreach programs on health education, industrial
medicine and preventive services throughout our
service area.
Located on an 11-acre
site at the intersection of Highway 25 South and
Curtis Drive, Iuka Hospital is a major contributor
to the continuing economic development taking
place in Tishomingo County.

Iuka Hospital's active
medical staff includes physicians who a re
specialized in general and family medi- cine,
internal medicine, pediatrics, general surgery,
radiology, pathology, and anesthesiology. The
practices of cardiology, neurology, oncology and
cardiovascular and thoracic surgery are represented through
the consulting medical staff at North Mississippi
Medical Center.

Tishomingo Health Services, a subsidiary of North
Mississippi Health Services. NMMC is the
regional health care system's flagship
hospital. Our affiliation provides us with
access to the programs and services available
through NMHS as we care for our patients in Iuka. |
OUR
COMMUNITY
Iuka is located in
the northeast corner of Mississippi near beautiful
Pickwick Lake and the Tennessee River. Iuka
has excellent schools for students ranging from kindergarten
through the twelfth grade. In addition, Iuka
is located near community colleges and a
vocational-technical program. Our community
boasts a new high school that has been ranked as the
fourth best overall among 149 districts in the
state.The area is strikingly beautiful and is
considered a recreational paradise for individuals
interested in hunting fishing, boating, hiking or
just getting away from it all in a quiet, serene,
safe enviornment.
J.P. Coleman and Tishomingo State Parks, as well as
the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway, which offer camp
sites, cabins, playgrounds and boat ramps, are
located nearby.
Just a short
distance from Iuka are some of the most interesting
and historical sites in the South. Shiloh
Battlefield and Military Park offer Civil War buffs
a treasure of history.
Iuka and Tishomingo County
are popular vacation and resort areas and have been
identified as top retirement areas in the
state. The community is truly one of the
best-kept secrets in the mid-South.
